INSIDE THE BOOK

About this book

Quantum computing is not just a faster version of classical computing - it's a paradigm shift. This book introduces readers to the foundational concepts of quantum mechanics and how they apply to computation. From qubits and entanglement to quantum gates and algorithms like Grover's and Shor's, readers will gain a solid understanding of how quantum computers operate and why they matter. Designed for curious minds and tech enthusiasts, this book bridges the gap between theory and application.

Better than I expected

Excellent from start to finish. No filler, no padding.

I had been on the fence about this one for a while, and I should have bought it sooner. A few of the examples could be more realistic, but the underlying points come across clearly. A few of the examples could be more realistic, but the underlying points come across clearly. The progression from chapter to chapter is well thought out; nothing feels out of order. Worth the money and the reading time, without hesitation.

Good, with realistic expectations

Strong content, uneven pacing. I would still recommend it.

This is the third book I have read on quantum computing this year, and it is comfortably the best of them. Some terminology is introduced without much ceremony; I had to look a few things up along the way. I particularly liked the way the author builds up from simple cases before introducing the harder material. It is denser than the page count suggests, and I found myself slowing down around the middle. Four stars, and I suspect a second edition could easily push it to five.

A genuine pleasure to read

Better than I expected. Rare to find a technical book this well judged.

I had been on the fence about this one for a while, and I should have bought it sooner. The book rewards careful reading. Skimming it would be a mistake. A few of the examples could be more realistic, but the underlying points come across clearly. There is a section near the end that ties several earlier ideas together in a way I had not seen before. This is the book I wish had existed when I started working with quantum computing.
